Critical Thinking and Media Literacy

Critical thinking and media literacy are essential skills in today's society, where information and media play a central role in our lives. Critical thinking involves analyzing, evaluating, and questioning information objectively, while considering different perspectives and avoiding bias or manipulation. Media literacy, on the other hand, refers to the ability to critically analyze and understand media messages, recognizing biases and hidden interests. Together, these skills enable us to make informed decisions, avoid misinformation, and actively engage with media. They empower us to navigate the media landscape and participate in public discourse more effectively.

In the chronicle the character I chose was Ada Lovelace because Ada Lovelace, born in 1815, was the world's first computer programmer. She worked with Charles Babbage and wrote the first computer program for his Analytical Engine. Her ideas were ahead of their time and continue to inspire women in STEM fields.

Thanks to the fact that I did this simulation of what a virtual interview in English would be like, it made it clear to me what the subject matter would be like and how to act in one, I also practiced my pronunciation a bit so as not to be cold at the moment of truth. Maybe it would have been better if I had done it with someone else, since my ear would start to get used to those questions.

Crime and Punishment

This gives us to understand that there is a wide range of situations that arise in our society, since everywhere we can observe criminal acts, and each individual possesses principles that we have been taught since our childhood, which allows us to distinguish between good and bad. Therefore, we must keep in mind that every action has its consequences, especially when it comes to negative acts that we carry out. Nowadays, it is common to see in the news various events that occur in the world, such as kidnappings, robberies, murders and other crimes that may take place in different parts of the world. For this reason, it is essential to teach young people to understand the difference between right and wrong, good and evil.
